Are there any drawbacks using to the Online Social Promotion (OSP) Service offered by Socials Online?
There is nothing to lose by using the OSP Service to promote your social. You can continue to use all the traditional methods to promote and sell social tickets, the OSP Service acts as an ADDIITONAL tool you can use to increase attendance and vastly reduce your administration work. In addition, depending on the pricing option chosen, you could utilize this entire service for no cost to you or the host committee!
What do I have to provide Socials Online?
After agreeing to participate in the OSP Service, you will simply have to provide us:
- Social event information (i.e location, date, time, etc.)
- Medium to high resolution digital photos of the guests/organization hosting the social (if you choose to)
- A stock of social tickets
Following set up of the customized web page you and the wedding party/host committee will simply need to send out the web link to the page (URL) in an email to family and friends.
Are there any hidden costs or fees that I will have to pay?
No. The Set Up and Service Fee (outlined on the Pricing page) are the only costs/fees associated with the service.
How do I confirm how many tickets are sold online?
A dedicated private web page site is set up that allows only the social host to get a real time update of tickets sold and distributed at any point in time prior to the event. This information is private and is not visible to the general public.
Why do you charge a Service Fee on each ticket sold?
The Service Fee allows Socials Online to recover development and administration costs associated with offering the service. Items like postage, PayPal commission, website development etc. are expenses that must be received to ensure Socials Online can continue to offer this value added service to consumers.
How do I notify my friends and family about the web page containing social details?
After the registration process, Socials Online will provide you the distinct web link (URL). It is suggested you include that link in an email to friends and family notifying them of the social and direct them to your web page for social details and to purchase tickets.
Do I need any computer experience or technical ability to participate in the OSP Service?
All you need to be able to do is send an email to family and friends notifying them of the web page.
Is there any other company offering a service to promote my wedding or benefit social and purchase tickets for the event online?
We are not aware of any other companies at this time offering these services to wedding or benefits social hosts.
How long before the event day can tickets be purchased online?
The functionality to purchase tickets on the web page is disabled 5 days prior to the event day to ensure no tickets are “in transit” (i.e. in the mail) on the day of the event.
How long before an event can we set up a web page for the event?
Technically there is no set amount of time a web page can be active for, however it is suggested that service be activated no later than 5-6 weeks before the event to allow for adequate promotional time for your social.

Is the process for buying tickets online secure?
To ensure the process was as secure as possible, Socials Online has partnered with PayPal payment services to process credit card purchases. PayPal is the worlds largest online payment processing company and the preferred payment method of eBay. PayPal is among the industry leaders in processing secure online payments.
Who holds the credit card information for tickets purchased?
The payments are processed completely on the PayPal website therefore they are the only party with access to specific credit card information. PayPal is designed from the ground up to be one of the safest ways to send money online. Unlike other financial institutions, our payments are sent without sharing financial information. In fact, PayPal never shares your financial information with or sells it to including Socials Online.
How can I be sure on how many tickets were purchased online?
Socials Online can provide a detailed Excel spreadsheet outlining all online tickets purchased for your social. In addition, all unsold tickets will be returned to the social host. Socials Online agrees to pay for each ticket not returned to the host (i.e. sold and distributed online) offering no risk to you.
